Dasein Strategy was founded with the purpose of helping the world safely and ethically leverage the power of artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
Our mission is to provide ethical and sustainable AI services that combine the insights of 2500 years of Ethical Philosophy with the expertise of contemporary advanced technology.
We enable our clients to harness the value and benefits of AI by ensuring safe, responsible and human-centered implementation of these technologies. We offer a set of AI related services tailored towards assisting organizations in assessing and implementing AI systems in ways that are tightly aligned with their organizational purpose and values.
We work with clients across several industries in the US and UK through offices in Chicago and London.
About our founder
Philosopher and technologist
Scott Dayton’s second career of 25+ years has been as a technologist, primarily in leadership and executive positions focused on technology strategy, organizational development, and leadership of global IT operations, cloud engineering, and cybersecurity teams.
His first career was in philosophy and theology. He has a deep comprehensive understanding of Western philosophy from the ancient Greeks through the 20th century existentialists and continues to write and lecture on various topics in this field.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy from St. John Vianney College-Seminary in Miami, Florida; did graduate coursework in Cybersecurity at Harvard University; and recently graduated from Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford with a Post-Graduate Diploma (PGDip) in Organizational Leadership.

Scott lives in Chicago, IL with his wife and Doberman pinscher. He is an award-winning beer brewer, a certified BBQ judge, and retired (for now) jazz musician.
